Since 1967, Dr. Roy A. Hammond has maintained an innovative and successful practice in Provo, Utah. A well-recognized leader in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, Dr. Hammond was a highest honors graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry. His practice has been named Utah County’s “Best of the Best” dental practice and has been highlighted in many of the leading dental publications including Dental Economics, Dentistry Today, The Dental Success Newsletter and The Independent Dentist. He is a Lifetime Qualified Member of the Crown Council and recipient of the "Humanitarian of the Year" and the "Mentors Mentor" award in 2009.
Dr. Hammond stays on the leading edge of dentistry through continuing education and is a graduate of the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, the Hornbrook Group, the Napili/Pentegra Seminars, and the L.D. Pankey Institute for Dental Excellence. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Pierre Fouchard International Academy, and the Crown Council.Over his lifetime he has personally provided charity dental care to tens of thousands of patients in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Vietnam, Nepal, Africa and South America. In 2006 (in partnership with his wife, Frances) he founded the Smiles for Hope Foundation, a charity organization that provides humanitarian dental care to thousands of deserving patients in the Dominican Republic every year.
He has lectured and consulted nationally and internationally to thousands of dentists on living a "tax-wise" lifestyle and balancing family, fun, service, and private practice in a successful way. Currently, his company Learning Curves (www.learningcurves.net) provides an incredible opportunity for dentists to enjoy top notch continuing education from the back of a Harley Davidson while riding in some of the most incredible places in the world.
A lifelong resident of Provo, Utah, Dr. Hammond and his wife Frances have four children. In his free time, he enjoys international travel, cross-country motorcycle touring, golfing, and hunting.
